In her mid-50s, filmmaker Marita Neher feels branded with a stamp: “Expiry date reached!” and sees herself threatened by invisibility. From then on, she struggles with the contradiction of wanting to be attractive and at the same time rebelling against society’s compulsion to be sexy. In her search for ways out of the dilemma, she spares herself nothing: her mother’s scathing judgement, lingerie consultations for middle-aged women, Botox injections. But can she still rebel against sexism like this? In her humorous documentary, she meets women with the most diverse lifestyles to find their way. Is there a sexy way to fight sexism?
